Outstanding Young Bandmaster

The Outstanding Young Bandmaster Award is presented annually by Phi Beta Mu and KBA to young directors who have taught for less than seven years.

Selection Considerations

  • Open to any director who is making a significant impact in their first years of teaching.
  • Nominations for Outstanding Young Bandmaster: Eligible for nomination through seventh year of teaching.
  • How has the candidate helped to “Build Better Bands for Kansas?”
