{"id":2338,"date":"2024-05-24T17:38:48","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T17:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kansasbandmasters.com\/?page_id=2338"},"modified":"2026-05-14T02:23:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T02:23:09","slug":"conducting-clinic-participant-application","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kansasbandmasters.com\/?page_id=2338","title":{"rendered":"Conducting Clinic Participant Application"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Kansas Bandmasters Association is proud to offer the Conducting Workshop at our Summer Convention in Wichita this summer! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop is designed to provide a supportive educational experience for any music educator or college student, and will include podium time on great wind repertoire, expert feedback from Kansas college conductors, and a video that will be shared with each participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants:&nbsp;<\/strong>This workshop is open to all KBA members <em>registered<\/em> for our summer convention (this includes collegiate KBA members). Participants will conduct on the podium, receive feedback, and receive a video of their conducting session. Conductors will be asked to perform in the clinic band. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conductors of any level of experience are encouraged to apply, our goal is to provide feedback to help you become the best version of yourself on the podium! Space is limited. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be notified of acceptance via email. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All conference attendees are welcome to attend as participants, observers, or ensemble members. We look forward to welcoming you to this workshop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When:\u00a0<\/strong>Thursday, July 16th, 7:30pm-9:30pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location:&nbsp;<\/strong>Double Tree Hotel, Wichita Airport. It will be in the same room the reading session. Please refer to the convention program as we get closer to the KBA Summer Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinicians:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>TBD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zoom Score Study Session:&nbsp;<\/strong>KBA will host an optional score study session for conducting participants via Zoom approximately one week or convention (time TBA). Anyone is welcome to join us in this discussion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Repertoire:&nbsp;<\/strong>Upon registering, participating conductors will be e-mailed a repertoire list.  There will be a variety of difficulty levels and styles for you to choose from. It is highly&nbsp;recommended that you order your score soon.
