The Kansas Intercollegiate Band is an auditioned group selected from recorded auditions submitted online. This ensemble holds a clinic and performance as part of the KMEA In-Service Workshop in even-numbered years.

Dear Kansas College and University Students,

On behalf of the Kansas Bandmasters Association, I am excited to extend a warm welcome to all of you who are considering auditioning for the Kansas Intercollegiate Band . This prestigious ensemble, comprised of the finest collegiate musicians from across the state, is a hallmark of the Kansas Music Educators Association’s In-Service Workshop.

The Kansas Intercollegiate Band is an auditioned group, selected from recorded auditions submitted online and adjudicated by Kansas college and university professors. This ensemble not only presents an opportunity for you to perform at the KMEA In-Service Workshop but also offers a platform for growth, learning, and networking with other musicians.

Rehearsals for this year’s intercollegiate band occur during the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop on February 22 & 23, 2024 with the performance on February 23th.

I look forward to seeing the extraordinary talent that will comprise the 2024 Kansas Intercollegiate Band.

Kind regards,
